During autumn 2016, our MFL students were instructed to form small groups and write sketches in French, German and Spanish. The setting should be in school or at a restaurant, or even on a journey. As MFL teachers we helped the students with language points such as grammar, pronunciation and spelling, but the students decided how the sketches should develop. The end product was going to be a short film. However, some students made voice recordings instead. Below you can watch an extract of a film in French, recorded with an iPad. Three girls used it to make this film starring themselves. One is acting as teacher, another as student and the third as student plus headteacher. "Emma" first gets an A in Arts, handing in a beautiful painting, which later turns out to be a copy of a work of Claude Monet. She is sent to the headteacher's office to be corrected...
