- say positive things about the work and/or about MFL during and after the session
- appear to learn whatever we try to teach them
- are interested and participate fully in the work
- smile, look happy, have fun and are eager to do more
The students who organise the work
- feel good about being involved
- are more positive about MFL

- the impression of the students themselves (how they feel during and after their presentations
- the emotions of the audience (how they look like during the presentation- Do they look satisfied?, Do they smile?, Do they applaud?)
- The reaction of the audience after the presentation- Do students give a positive feedback?, Do they come and say thank you for the great performance?
Finland
- they learn
- they participate
- they ask questions

Ounsdale
- the audience is interested and gets involved – eg answering questions

- Check how many have started to study German since you have done the promotion and count how many we are and they are to see the result.
- If you hear the students talking a lot about it then you know you have been successful.
- We could ask their opinions about the work or do a straw poll.
Pershore
- More participation than normal, more hands up
- Thumbs up to give immediate feedback
- Eager to come into the next lesson
- Lots of smiles
